Some wedding days just feel easy. Addison and Cole’s day at The Oaks in Centreville was one of those days where everything fell into place in the best way—even when it almost didn’t.

Going into the weekend, rain was in the forecast. Backup plans were made, tents were set for the reception, and everything was prepared just in case. But somehow, the weather had other plans… and it turned out absolutely perfect.

Clear skies, soft light, and the kind of day you can’t plan, but always hope for.

The Details (and those baby blue tones)

From the very beginning, their vision was so intentional.

Soft baby blue details carried throughout the entire day—from the invitation suite to the bridesmaids dresses—and it all tied together so effortlessly. It felt classic, fresh, and so true to them.

The invitation suite alone set the tone. Clean, timeless, and delicate, paired with soft florals and the prettiest textures. Everything felt elevated but still relaxed… which honestly describes their whole day perfectly.

A slow, intentional morning

The morning started calm.

Addison spent the early part of the day getting ready surrounded by her girls, all in matching blue sets, laughing and soaking it all in. Nothing felt rushed. Nothing felt overwhelming. It was one of those mornings where you could actually feel the excitement building in the best way.

Her dress was simple in the most stunning way—structured, classic, and made for movement. The kind of dress that doesn’t need anything extra because it already says everything.

And watching her step into it with her bridesmaids and mom around her… those are the moments that matter.

The first looks

There are a few moments from the day that just stick with you—and these were some of them.

Her bridesmaids’ reactions were everything. So much joy, so many smiles, and the kind of energy that makes you forget a camera is even there.

And then her first look with her dad… just one of those quietly emotional moments that says more than words ever could.

But when she saw Cole for the first time—everything slowed down.

It wasn’t rushed or overly posed. Just the two of them, taking it in, smiling, laughing a little, and settling into the moment together. That’s always my favorite part… when everything else fades out for a second.

Portraits at The Oaks

If you’ve ever been to The Oaks, you already know how beautiful the property is.

Between the soft greenery, the white architecture, and the way the light filters through the trees—it’s one of those venues that gives you so many options without ever feeling overwhelming.

Addison and Cole made it easy.

They were natural together in a way that doesn’t need a lot of direction. Just small moments, a little movement, and letting them be themselves. The kind of couple that trusts the process and just enjoys being together.

The people that made the day

One of my favorite parts of any wedding day is always the people surrounding it.

Their wedding party brought so much energy—from the sweetest, most supportive moments to the absolute chaos in the best way. The groomsmen kept things fun, the bridesmaids kept things grounded, and together it created such a good balance throughout the day.

You can always tell when a couple is deeply loved… and this was one of those days.

When the plans change (for the better)

Remember that rain that was supposed to come?

It didn’t.

Instead, guests gathered, the reception setup came to life under the tents, and everything felt exactly how it was meant to. The kind of evening that feels relaxed, joyful, and full of genuine connection.

No stress. No scrambling. Just being present.

A day that felt like them

At the end of it all, Addison and Cole’s wedding wasn’t about perfect timelines or everything going exactly as planned.

It was about the way it felt.

Calm, joyful, intentional, and full of the people that matter most.

And those are always the days that stay with you.

If you’re planning a wedding at The Oaks in Centreville or anywhere in Alabama and you want your day to feel like this, present, natural, and fully you, I’d love to be there to capture it.

The biggest thing I care about on a wedding day is how it feels. Not just how it looks in photos, but how you actually experience it while you are in it. I am there to guide you when you need it, step back when you do not, and make sure nothing ever feels rushed or forced.

I want you to be able to look back and remember what it felt like to be there, not just what it looked like.

The quiet moments. The in between ones. The ones you did not even realize were happening.

If that is the kind of experience you are looking for, I would love to be a part of your day.
